Every June, the Gochang Bokbunja and Watermelon Festival takes place in the scenic area around Seonunsa, renowned for its premium watermelons and bokbunja (black raspberry). Visitors can immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere filled with the sights and sounds of live performances and various activities, making it a lively experience for all ages.

This festival features delicious local specialties such as Gochang's premium watermelons, bokbunja, and the famous pungcheon eel. Enjoy fun activities like water gun fights, K-POP random play dance for teens, and eel catching. The opening ceremony kicks off with performances including fusion traditional music, bubble and magic shows, and trot performances. You can also purchase Gochang's agricultural products at lower prices than usual.
