Semiwon Lotus Culture Festival
The Semiwan Lotus Culture Festival is a vibrant summer garden culture festival held at Semiwon in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi-do. Visitors will be immersed in the beauty of lotus flowers and aquatic plants, surrounded by the serene waters of the Paldang Lake. This festival showcases the blooming lotus flowers with various exhibitions, performances, and hands-on programs. Guests can explore the garden's diverse aquatic plants and enjoy cultural and educational activities centered around the lotus theme. Semiwon also features historical significance, being the area where the late Joseon scholar Jeong Yak-yong built a bridge over the Namhan River. The venue includes a lotus museum, a traditional Korean fountain, and other facilities that enrich the experience of garden culture, history, ecology, and the arts.
